DiaspoCareers was born as a project to help in the empowerment of the African human capital. Between 2005 and 2006, the founder was conceptualising the business through extensive market research to develop a unique strategy of how to meet the needs of its future clients both in terms of talent acquisition and the coverage needed to help them overcome skills scarcity when recruiting in any country in Africa.
2007 - 2009
DiaspoCareers was officially founded in 2007 under the brand Cvcanal Consulting. The company focused mainly on Direct Search and grew with a significant client base made up of multinationals with operations across Africa. Recognized for its innovative and professional approach, prestigious clients have called upon its services: Microsoft, Ericsson, Oracle Corporation, Morson International, Colas, Alstom, Advance Agro PLC now Double A Thailand, Simon India Pty Ltd, Trust Engineering Corporation, Fluidra Spain, Symbion Power Services, Gallina Blanca Star, Eurocopter, Coface, Sagem, Motorola, Coca-Cola, Citibank, Ernst & Young, the IMF, Suez-Lyonnaise des Eaux, Texaco, Van Houten, etc..,
2010
Cvcanal Consulting was Reformed. During December 2009, Cvcanal Consulting became DiaspoCareers. Subsequently, the Cvcanal Consulting, “Cvcanal” project was incorporated into and renamed DiaspoCareers cc, or simply “DiaspoCareers”.
Why this Merger?
In the wake of the global financial crisis and as the company sought to diversify its services, DiaspoCareers embarked on a rationalization process and was focusing more on its MEA operations. Cvcanal Consulting is
now an Outsourcing Division of DiaspoCareers also called DiaspoCareers Talent Outsourcing.
For both activities, online networking recruitment and talent outsourcing, DiaspoCareers focuses on multinational corporations, agencies, executive search and all economic operators with operations across Africa and the Middle East (MEA). Our new targeted market will include: small and medium-sized companies, mainly recruitment agencies and any other business entity both in South Africa, Africa, Ocean Islands and the Middle East.
What Changes?
Besides the already mentioned name change, and DiaspoCareers’ 100% shareholding, nothing changes.
